What's collected

• Reading activity. When you read a sample or flip a page, this site logs the book, page number, a randomly generated visitor ID (stored in a cookie, not tied to your name or email), your approximate country (looked up from your IP address via ip-api.com — see below), your referrer, and roughly how long you spent on the page. This is used only to see which books and pages get read, never sold or shared.
• Newsletter signups. If you join the reader list, your email address is stored here and passed to Beehiiv, the email service that actually sends the newsletter. Beehiiv has its own privacy policy governing how it handles that address.
• Contact form submissions. If you use the Contact page, your email address, message, IP address, and browser user-agent are stored so the message can be answered and to prevent spam abuse.
• Outbound Amazon/Audible clicks. Clicking a "Buy," "Free with Kindle Unlimited," or "Listen on Audible" link is logged (which book, not who) so we can tell whether the free samples are actually leading anywhere.

Cookies

This site uses exactly two cookies: one anonymous visitor ID (used only for the reading-activity stats above, no personal information attached) and, only for the site owner, an admin login session cookie. There is no advertising or cross-site tracking cookie of any kind — no Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, nothing like that.

Third parties this data passes through

• Beehiiv — sends the newsletter, if you sign up.
• ip-api.com — given your IP address for a one-time, best-effort country lookup when you view a page. No account or persistent tracking on their end that this site controls.
• Amazon / Audible — as an Amazon Associate, this site may earn a commission on qualifying purchases made after clicking a Buy or Kindle Unlimited link. Once you leave for Amazon or Audible, their own privacy policy applies.

What this site does not do

No data is sold. No third-party advertising network is used. No fingerprinting beyond the single first-party visitor cookie described above.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email it sends. To ask about, correct, or delete any data tied to your email address (newsletter or contact form), use the Contact page — messages are read by the site owner personally.
